About us...
Once upon a time (1 year ago) in a land far, far away there was a guy named Ken who had a wife and two lovely daughters. He decided that it would benefit the family to move to North Texas, and so they packed up their belongings and animals and moved to Weatherford. There they found the grass was greener, the air was wetter, and the bugs were as big as your head. It was there they decided that all vacations would be spent north of the Coastal Bend where the temperature and humidity dip below 80.
Ken is still enjoying his job with AEP Texas in the Distribution Dispatch Center. It is a very challenging and rewarding job "keeping the lights on" and getting them back on when they happen to go out. Ken has been volunteering as the TV director at Bay Area Fellowship in Corpus Christi since 2010. He also enjoys video/DVD editing, photo editing and restoration, keeping macune.com up to date, and started to referee High School football games last fall. But his favorite activity is hanging out and taking road trips with the girls across the country.
Chantelle is a part-time substitute teacher and a full-time mom. She has started as a substitute teacher at the girls' schools in 2009 and enjoys the challenge. Ever the supportive mom she has been on the PTA board at the middle school and has been the instrumental in putting together the highly successful Career Day the last three years. In her small amount of free time, she enjoys sewing, selling stuff on ebay, watching any version of Project Runway she can find, and going on long walks on the beach with our dog, Franklin.
Hannah has become a very beautiful and tall teenager. She has enjoyed middle school, but is now ready for the challenge of High School. Meeting that challenge she decided that she wanted to try-out for the drill team and she made it. Her schedule just filled-up and Chantelle's free time just disappeared. When she's not doing the "bird" move Hannah likes to play on the computer, pick on her sister, and play with her Nintendo 3DS or just about any video game that exists. She also has started to volunteer as a "Shader" in the video department at the Church.
Katie is on the verge of her teenage experience, but she already does a good job of running the Macune household. She now has the middle school to herself and is an excellent student. She enjoys all aspects of life, playing on the computer and watching just about anything Disney. She likes to play on her 3DS in her free time when she's not busy "directing" her sister.
